"The Voice" Contestant,Christina Grimmie dies after her concert in Orlando,Florida

 Young singer, Christina Grimmie is dead.She died at the age of 22 following complications arising from gun shot on Friday, June 10th.

Christina who rose to fame as a contestant on The Voice and via her YouTube page, was shot by a gunman outside of her concert in Orlando,Florida on Friday night, June 10th.

Reports has it that,Christina was greeting fans outside of the venue when she was reportedly shot multiple times. Her brother was by her side and tackled the gunman, who then shot and killed himself. She was then rushed to the hospital where she lost the battle to survive due to complications arising from the gunshot.

 According to a statement made to Just Jared, her rep said “It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gun shot wounds”.

Since her death, a lot of celebrities and fans alike have expressed their shock and sent out their condolences to the young singer’s loved ones. Some of them include Adam Levine ( her coach on The Voice), Before You Exit (the band she was on tour with at the time of the shooting), Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly, Hailey Baldwin among others.

The police who are still investigating her death believe that her killer traveled to Orlando specifically to kill Christina and that he planned on going back to his home after he committed the heinous crime.As at the time of report,no linking connection has been found between Christina and her killer. However, authorities are till looking for any possible motive.
