About 30 children have lost their lives following the recent outbreak of Diarrhea in Imo State.The outbreak is associated with lack of potable drinking water in the state.
The commissioner for Health, Ngozi Njoku said the death toll from the outbreak of the deadly disease had risen to 30 in the last few weeks. She also said the other affected ones were receiving treatment in various hospitals in the state. This was disclosed when she received some representatives from the Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited
She added that four children died last month as a result of the infection in Nekede, in the Owerri West council area.
