Nigeria was not represented 2015 edition in Equatorial Guinea as such was eager to feature in the next AFCON 2017.
The first half was really terrible as it ended goalless even though the Super Eagles kept to coach Samson Siasia's tactical master plan to keep proceedings neat and tidy and then attack the Egyptians on the counter.
However, the Egyptians had their own backup plans too which they followed through with Nigerians in the second half.
The goal came from 19 years old Ramadan Sobhy in the 65th minute which left the Super Eagles with more zeal to keep fighting. They also brought in Egyptians' striker to aid their defense against Nigerians’ Super Eagle who desperately needed a goal.
Nigeria is definitely out of the dream with just 2 points from three games and one more game against Tanzania remaining, their qualification for next year's AFCON tournament does not seem to go well.
