Seunfunmi Oseni, 4, and Amira Otegbola, 6, were flung out of their school bus around Costain Roundabout,on their way back from National Theatre, Iganmu.
According to reports, the two pupils were among 20 other pupils of the New Vine International School, Mushin, Lagos.The school bus was driven by the proprietor of the school.,Mr Ekezie Augustine .Three other teachers were also inside the bus.
The children were immediately taken to Brickfield Medical Centre,Ademuiya Road,Ebute Metta and were refered for Radiology somewhere around Ogunlana drive,Surulere to ascertain their health condition.
According to the principal of the school “the children were over-excited and uncontrollable before the incident happened”
Investigations revealed that the school has not been registered.However,the pricinple of the children said,the registration is on process.
The driver of the bus who happen to be the priopritor of the school has been handed over to Divisional Traffic Office, Iponri, by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command, for prosecution.
