The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB),Nnamdi Kanu who is presently facing a trial case for treason was today denied bail by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
In its ruling this morning.the three man panel of the Appeal court led by Justice Abdul Aboki, ruled that the lower court was right in denying Kanu bail considering the nature and the circumstances of his case.
According to the judge “The lower court has the power to exercise its discretion on the matter and the exercise of such discretion by the trial judge did not amount to denial of fair hearing to the defendants. The issues are resolved against the appellants. Ruling of the trial court is hereby upheld.”.
