Professor. Olanrewaju Fagbohun was on Monday,11 January,2016 inaugurated as the Vice -Chancellor of Lagos State University(LASU) by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State.
Governor Ambode at the inauguration said,Prof Fagbohun would require the support and cooperation of all stakeholders, particularly staff and students, to ensure a peaceful atmosphere that would promote academic excellence as the university has had its own share of challenges in the past.
In his address, Prof. Fagbohun promised to restore peace to the institution, foster high level scholarship and consolidate on previous gains.He called on all stakeholders in the LASU project to join hands with me in the task of putting it back on the front row of academic excellence where it rightly belongs,
