Kristina Marie Pagalilauan, 19 years old and third year Mass Communication student of the Adamson University,Manila Philippines died on Tuesday,5th January,2016.The victim,according to her friend, Jonea Mildred Ani,fell off a 20 floor condominium building in Ermita,Manila while they were taking “selfie” pictures of themselves.According to her,she was busy reviewing the pictures they had taken when she realized Kristina’s was half way down.She tried to seek for help but could not find any as there were no guards around the building at that time .
The case investigator, Police Officer 3 Al Layugan,said the girls had climbed up the roof deck because Kristina was unsatisfied with the pictures they had earlier taken so she invited Ani to the roof deck so they could see the sunset, saying it would make a nice background for their pictures.
According to Layugan, the girls had come to the condominium from school because Ani wanted to dye Kristina’s hair. None of the girls actually live there,but Kristina’s boyfriend, who is currently in Mindanao, rented a unit on the fourth floor.
