Hon Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, representing Njikoka/Aniocha/Dunukofia federal constituency of Anambra State,on Tuesday last week took oaths of office and allegiance as member of the House of Rep which was administered by the clerk of the House of Representatives, Mr Sani Omolori who represented the speaker, Hon Yakubu Dogara.
Nwankwo, who is a member of the opposition party,All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ,replaced Dr Okey Eze, of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after he was declared duly elected by the Court of Appeal.
The newly sworn-in lawmaker, pledged his support for the ongoing anti corruption fight by President Muhammadu Buhari.
While expressing gratitude to God for recovering his mandate at the Court of Appeal, he promised to work in concert with his colleagues in the House to make good laws required to ensure good governance in the country.
He said: “I am here to make quality legislation. I am here to see how to enhance the laws that will benefit my constituency.We will try our best to solve the multiple problems facing our people back home. I am an agent of change. I believe that the federal government is doing what it can .I will support every good laws that would fight corruption. Corruption is an endemic disease ravaging us and we need to fight it with every quality laws that we can make.”
