The Eagle band founder and guitarist Glenn Lewis Frey ,is dead.He died at age 67.
According to a statement released by the band on their website on Monday,18th January, he died after a courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.
The statement from the band also states that:
"The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery. Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide."
Frey formed the rock band group,Eagles,with three others:Don Henley, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon as backup musicians for Linda Ronstadt.The band saw wild success in the 1970s, disbanded in 1980 and reunited in 1994. Frey's solo hits include "You Belong to the City" and "The Heat Is On",etc.Rest in Peace Frey.
