Day 7 of the ongoing International Eucharistic Congress morning prayers was led by Most Rev. Angel Lagdameo, DD.
Here is the prayer in part:
"Encouragement, affirmation, reassurance and inspiration should help us as community to be a tapestry of love providing strength to one another, interweaving our blessing, blessing those around us, and multiplying our acts of love through being woven together... [this is] what Christ desires for us, a Eucharistic community, a tapestry of love."
His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, DD took the catechesis on "The Eucharist and Mary"
A short piece from his teaching:
"The Mass is our family meal, especially during Sundays. The mother of our family, Mary, is always at the table with Jesus, with us."
Ms. Sarindhorn of Thailand shared her inspiring story about being lost and being found, of losing hope and finding it once again, of being hurt and still choosing to forgive. ‘God, indeed, is on our side. We just have to surrender everything to Him and we will be surprised on how He has worked things for us’,she said.
She talked of how she spent 14 years in prison for a crime she didn't commit. She testifies to the healing and sustaining power of the Eucharist, which kept her from giving up and spurred her to prove her innocence.
