President Buhari,yesterday left France for London to attend the Syria Donor Conference aimed at raising funds to cushion the humanitarian problems faced by over 12.2 million people in Syria.
The acting High Commissioner of Nigeria to the United Kingdom, Mr Adah Simon Ogah told Channels TV that the President would also meet with Nigerian citizens living in the UK on developments at home.
The Syria Donor Conference which holds today is being co-hosted by the UK, Germany, Kuwait, Norway and the United Nations.
Syria has the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis, having seen over five years of civil war.
Billions of dollars in international aid are needed to support people caught up in the conflict.
The funds are expected to meet the immediate and long-term needs of those affected.
